NOAH

Getting the right information at the right time to the right persons so they can take the right decision

Fast and adequate information exchange at (impending) flood emergency situations: that is what it is all about, during the development of the Flood Information and WArning System, in short: FLIWAS. The system is new and offers many possibilities. At this website you will find information and news about FLIWAS, the NOAH project and the project partners. The project NOAH is responsible for the development of the information system FLIWAS. Within the project organizations from the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland are working together to develop and implement FLIWAS.The main objective of the project is to make and keep the information flow manageable during a flood emergency situation. The right information has to be available quickly, and has to be clear, unambiguous and reliable; it has to be easy and quick to share it between all involved stakeholders (water managers, government officials, police, fire brigade and (emergency) health care organizations). In short: getting the right information at the right time to the right persons so they can take the right decision.
